Last updated: June 2026. These terms form a binding agreement between you (or the organisation you represent) and Vulny SIA ("Vulny", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Vulny vulnerability scanning service. By creating an account, requesting a scan, or using the service you accept these terms.
"Service" or "Platform" means the Vulny cloud scanner and dashboard. "Target" means an IP address, domain, host or API you submit for scanning. "Plan" means the subscription tier you select. "Findings" means the vulnerability results we generate for you.
Vulny provides an automated cloud vulnerability scanner for websites, networks and APIs. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the service for your own internal business purposes during your subscription or trial. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must only scan Targets that you own or are explicitly authorised in writing to test. By submitting a Target you confirm you have the authority and all necessary permissions (including under applicable computer-misuse and anti-hacking laws) to permit Vulny to scan it. You are solely responsible for obtaining those permissions and for compliance in every jurisdiction involved. Unauthorised scanning is prohibited, may be unlawful, and is your liability — see our Acceptable Use Policy.
You must not: (a) copy, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source of the Platform; (b) use the Platform to build or assist a competing product; (c) resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties except as expressly permitted by your Plan; (d) interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other tenants; or (e) use the service to attack or disrupt systems you are not authorised to test. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires a paid Plan. Fees are stated in euros, exclusive of applicable VAT or other taxes, and are payable in advance. Plans renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled. We may change fees with prior notice; if you do not agree to a fee increase you may cancel before it takes effect. We may suspend access for non-payment and, where permitted, charge interest on overdue amounts. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
Vulny and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Platform, the Service and the software, branding and documentation. These terms grant you only the limited usage right described above and transfer no ownership. The Findings we generate for your account are made available for your own use.
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care, but otherwise "as is" and "as available". Vulnerability scanning is best-effort: it does not and cannot guarantee detection of every vulnerability, nor that a Target is secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all other warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid to Vulny in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, for free-trial users, a nominal amount). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Vulny harmless from claims, damages and costs arising out of your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, your unauthorised or unlawful scanning, or your misuse of the service.
Each party will protect the other's non-public information disclosed in connection with the service and use it only to perform under these terms. This does not apply to information that is public, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law. These obligations survive termination.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a processor, that processing is governed by our data processing terms. You may export or delete your account data at any time from your account settings.
The service relies on third-party providers (such as payment processing and hosting). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, fail to pay, or use the service unlawfully. On termination your right to use the service ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy.
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control (such as outages, attacks, or acts of government), provided it takes reasonable steps to mitigate.
When you request a free check or create an account, you consent to Vulny sending you the security report you requested, service messages, and occasional product updates and security-related emails (including reminders and alerts about new critical vulnerabilities). Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time via the link or your account notification settings; this does not affect essential service messages.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
